India Information re John Conroy

My GGrandfather John Conroy was in India during his war service 1854 - 1875 for over 15 years. His discharge papers list him with 47 Foot -46- 96 on discharge   so maybe he was in three regiments over the 21 year period of service. I am wondering if he married there during the time he was there. His death cert listed a first wife Ann Mahoney/Maloney. He married again in 1884 in Portadown to Jane Rainey at St Patricks.  Have not been able to locate a marriage in Ireland for him and Ann but noticed a birth of a Sarah Conroy to a John and Ann Conroy in Lucknow India in 1866 and wondered if this was them. The entry does not list Ann's maiden name though. How can I find out this information?

Just fleshing out his army career:

47th Foot service number 3413;  16-11-54 to 30-11-1857
46th Foot service number 41;  1-12-1857 to 30-6-1868
96th Foot service number 1365: 1-7-1868 to 10-11-1875

Thank you both for that information. Interesting to know what regiments he was in over what period ShaunJ. I  will have a good look into the Muster records at the National Archives and see if I can get further help there. Had a quick look. Looks a bit confusing on first glance but will investigate further.
Also interesting Brionne to see a possible daughter in Anna as well. How can I find out what happened to them if this is the right family. There never seems to be a mention of a maiden name for Anna/Ann the mother and I have found no trace of a marriage there in India. He was supposed to be 18 when he joined in 1854 although there is a suspicion he may have lied about his age at that time.

Baptised 21 July 1866 at Lucknow by Father Felix

Sarah Conroy d. of H M 46th regiment died 24th July 1866 aged 6 days. Buried at Lucknow 25 July 1866 by Father Felix.

The birth of an Anne Conroy is included in the army births index (Cawnpore, 1862, 46th Regiment, volume 1085 page 22). It is possible to order a GRO birth certificate which may show the mother's maiden name.

Regarding a marriage search,the Regiment 46th moved constantly in India from 1858 returning home from Poona to Isle of Wight and Winchester 1868.
But 46th stationed Corfu 1856.
There is a list of Army Births Marriages and Deaths for Corfu ,but unable to find it.

John moved from the 46th Regiment of Foot 1/7/1868 to the 96 th Regiment of Foot so probably remained in India with that regiment if it stayed there. His discharge papers list him in Malta,Crimea and East Indies.I will get a copy of that birth cert for Anne  and see who the  mother of Anne is. Maybe they did not marry.The Muster records might reveal something perhaps..Thanks for  all your efforts. Much appreciated.
