Can anyone help please. Searching 1851 Census Liverpool for;
Edward Davies born approx 1824 Liverpool Wife Mary Davies born ( maiden name unknown) approx 1824 Cumberland.
1861 Census.

Looks like you need a birth certificate of one of the children, to prove Mary's maiden name.
Then you can search for a marriage; that will give you Edward's father's name.

Then you can search for father and son on the 1851 census!

With a surname like Davies, it's not an easy search?

There are many Edward and Mary Davies families in Liverpool. Edward and Mary may bot even have been married by 1851. You really do need a child's birth certificate to prove Mary's maiden name so that you can find their marriage

you definitely need a certificate. Edward also seems to have been known as edmund Both he and his son seem to be named that in 1871 if you look at the original image Living Clement St in 1871

There is a possible marriage, but it's in Manchester rather than Liverpool?
