The criminal records say that he got 3 months imprisonment in September 1876 at Marlboro' Street Police Court, and at the same court in April 1877 for a second offence he was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, and afterwards to find 1 surety of £50 to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for 12 months.
