Hi...to meet the requirements for restoration on this forum the file size is too small at only 75kbs. You can post a file size of up to 500kbs on here which is recommended for best results and a good printout.
Hope this answers your question.

Hello, yes thank you very much.
My apologies. I have just realised there is probably a big difference between a restoration and what the person wanted doing with the image they originally posted at the beginning of this topic . That would explain why the original topic image of Frank Palmer posted was around 67kb. And so would have to have been a lot higher for it to have been put on here for a restoration .
Apologies again I am a novice, haha!
The photo I scanned was scanned at 600dpi. It's file size came to 735.57 kb. The width in pixels was 1541 wide by 2460 high.
I put it into Irfanview. I don't know what I was doing wrong, but it seemed like I had to do a lot to it before I saw the file size coming down to anywhere near 500kb. I scanned it at 400dpi, and it came straight out at around 300kb. I played around with it in Irfanview and I think it has now come out to around 429kb.
So just for future reference please, would this be any better? It just looks really big and massive on the screen, but I suppose the bigger the better maybe?
Thank you.
