Hi Gerald, www.nationalarchives.ie shows the family including Daniel in 1911 census in Creenasmear Donegal. Parents Myles & Ellen have been married 18 yrs had 10 children & 9 are living.
In 1901 Census Myles & Ellen seem to be living with Myles widowed mother Margaret Gallagher who is aged 65 same place as the 1911
What information do you hope to get? I am presuming it is the Irish? Rgds Ballydw

Well maybe with the parent names we could trace Daniel, but his children would be another thing.
Couple of questions, was he married when he came over?
What State did he head for, all have different BDM's and Daniel Gallaghers are a bit thick on the ground?

I have a friend who's brother is a Daniel Gallagher!

Neil

No other details available sorry so vague
Yes I do know the rules ref living relatives
I only want to know what happened to Daniel
And given he was born in 1902 I doubt if I would be breaking that rule in Daniels case

Do you know if he had a middle name? Possibly on census.

Hi Gerald, have seen a ship record for a Mr D Gallagher departing London Arriving in Fremantle 19th Feb 1929 on route to Brisbane Australia Ship Ormonde. The Gallagher name is fairly frequent so this may not be yours only that you mentioned circa 1927 for australia.  :)

Thank you Ballydw unfortunately this event happened so long ago that the people who remembered it have long since passed away and the next generation only heard him mentioned as :went to Australia:
Sadly no other info was known
I'll keep searching.
Best regards
Gerald
