Hello Josephine,

Charles Haggan, and Sarah Breslan, were married in St. Joseph's, Roman Catholic, Church, Milton, Glasgow.

Around 42 years later their son Charles Higgins, married Mary Riley, 12/July/1923. again in St. Joseph's, Roman Catholic, Church, Milton, Glasgow. If you have this certificate, then you will notice a witness Hugh Riley, second last column who lived at same address as Mary Riley, on the Certificate, well he was Mary Riley's, brother who was two years older than Mary.

This Hugh Riley, was named after his mother Jane Callaghan's, father ie Hugh Callaghan, who married Mary Wilson, 7/Feb/1863. Hutchestown, Glasgow.

Jane Callaghan, pet name Jeanie, married Joseph Riley. on the 28/Dec/1900. Gorbals, Glasgow.

Joseph Riley, was actually born 1878. in Wales.

Regards,
Jonn.

Hello Josephine,

Here is the 1911. census for the Riley's, notice the spelling here it is however your family.

Mary Reilly, Daur, Scholar, age 6 years, born Glasgow,

Two houses away 75 Crown Street, Glasgow. almost certainly a tenement building. is Jeanie/Jane Callaghan/Reilly's, widowed father.

You will also note Joseph Reilly's, occupation on this census House Painter, the same occupation as on Charles Higgins. marriage to Mary Riley. 1923. Glasgow.

When Joseph Riley married Jane/Jeannie Callaghan. 1900. in Glasgow, Joseph, and Jane/Jeannie, were both down as living 75 Crown Street, Glasgow.
