Robert Elliott - 1752 Dewsbury - Parents?

Hello

I've been trying to find (for quite some time now), the parents of Robert Elliott born about 1752 In the Dewsbury/Batley (Hanging Heaton) area.

He married Hannah Wainwright on the 11 August 1791 Dewsbury all Saints.  It does say he was a widower and from Batley, a clothier.  He died on 6 November 1832 Hanging Heaton St Paul, Dewsbury/Batley.

His son George was born about 1792 Dewsbury.

I've searched but have had no luck in finding out who his parents were so I'm at a complete dead end.

If anyone could help/advise this would be much appreciated.

Have you not considered one in Wakefield, it's only 6 miles from Dewsbury

Robert Elliott bpt. 11 Oct 1752, son of Robert, no mother listed

Ancestry has the 1791 marriage transcribed as Robert Elliott and Batty Clothier! The image clearly shows Hannah Wainwright.  ::)

There is a burial for a Mary Elliott in Birstall St Peter, 30 Dec 1790. Described as wife of Robert Elliott, of Batley. Possibly his first wife?

This looks like it could be the family

The burial of Mary could be the mother of Robert, could it not ?
