« on: Thursday 19 May 16 16:16 BST (UK) »
Hi there could someone please help me I am looking for a Wilfred Albert kelly born in Middlesbrough between 1922 and 1925. Mother grace castleton. Apparently he served in the green Howards in ww2 according what I have been told the green Howards don't have any record of him.  Is there another way I would be able to search for other regiments please. Thank you.   :-\

Did he use his first Christian name? My Grandfather's service record is indexed by his middle name.

May help to know that his birth is registered Middlesborough Q4 1925.  Name given as Wilfred A E (Kelly)
I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
Zoe

Did he survive the war? If he was killed in the war I'd recommend this search engine to find him?

My Dad was a Green Howard from Middlesbrough, he mentions a J Kelly on his web site at http://www.fightingthrough.co.uk/#/indices-names-ww2-g-r-war-b/4544226859 - no relation I presume?
