Photograph by J P Bamber Blackpool - is the content 1921?
« on: Sunday 22 May 16 12:38 BST (UK) »
The photographer JPB was aged 19 in 1901 census.

Any estimates on the date of the photo please? Is it likely to be a reprint of an earlier photo?
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Hi Geoff-E,

Don't know if this will help but here goes anyway!

Here is a link to another photo by this photographer at the same address (3rd photo down): http://www.rootschat.com/links/01ho0/

This photo is dated 19th June 1921 with a reference number of 10215. The reference number on yours is 96117, much later than the one in my link. Also the back of yours has to my mind a distinctly art deco look about it. Therefore perhaps a date of late 1920s to early 1930s at a guess?

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

David

Thanks for your thoughts David :)

I think the number may be 9647, in which case it may be 1920/21.  I've no idea if the subject of the photo matches that date. :-\
