Hi again, possibly the death registration of Elizabeth :-

Death Elizabeth Tippey September qtr 1878 Knaresborough  9a 83 aged 44

Lisa & keyboard you are bang on, Lisa you are bang on with the court for assault.
When i typed in earlier Tippey Killinghall census index 1871 William's birth place shown as Farnham
when he was a Yorkshire lad born and bred, how did that get there.
Also it must be same William buried near to door of Killinghall church i think.

His birth place is Farnham also on the 1891 census and on the 1881 census it says Scotton?

Hi again, still searching for the outcome of the two illegitimate sisters Mary Tippey b 1792/3 Hunsingore and Sarah Atkinson 1795 Hunsingore
Was Sarah shown as Atkinson or Atkinson Tippey?

If you are not aware Sarah in the 1841 b c 1834 married a George Pybus 30th May 1857 Knaresborough abode Scriven,  Tentergate, 1861 at Crown Inn, Minskip Village
Census ref RG09/3201/44/7

On two marriages I have looked up for Tippey, and will look again, the witnesses were?  Beaman/Beamont?

EDIT OK found Sarah Atkinson born 15th March 1795 baptism 16th March 1795 York, St Mary, Bishophill Junior Mother Sarah Tippy

Hi keyboard i had no idea about Sarah's marriage to George Pybus thanks a lot, iv'e just started looking into John Tippey's family, Sarah's two daughters do seem to have dissapeared or so it seems The mother Sarah stayed in Roecliffe all her life ,she died just after the 1861 census aged 99.
