Blackburns of Beverley
« on: Wednesday 25 May 16 18:04 BST (UK) »
I know that Elizabeth Blackburn was born in 1853 in Beverley and that her parents were David Blackburn and Mary Ann Wilson who married in 1853 in Beverley.  Elizabeth married in Beverley in 1874.
But I can't find any of them on censuses before Elizabeth's marriage.  Nor can I find deaths for David or Mary Ann.  I would be grateful if someone could find what I'm missing  ???

What's the age & occupation for David?
What names witness the 1874 marriage?

The witnesses were Robinson Pool and Charles Smelt.  Not relatives that I know of.  David Blackburn is described as a deceased labourer.

It's not him, Suz.  His daughter Elizabeth married Edward Russell.

Additional to this marriage and taken from familysearch, Mary Ann's father is John Taylor Wilson, Robinson Pool's father is Thomas Pool.
