Hi Teresa,
I have WEEKS in my family tree, my 6th Grt Grandparents & my 5th Grt Grandmother.
They are Edward & Mary WEEKS nee PHELPS and their 2nd child of 9 and 1st daughter Edith WEEKS.
Edith married John HINTON of Combe Hay, Somerset.
This is 15 miles from Westbury on Trym, but it is also between 1710 for the birth of Edward WEEKS and 1792 at the death of Edith HINTON.
John & Edith's 3rd daughter, Sarah HINTON married William MASTERS of North Wootton, (near Pilton) at Combe Hay 1796. Which Is my Paternal line.
I have no idea if this is any good to you or not but it is the WEEKS surname.

Cheers
Geoff

Hi Geoff,   My mother-in-law's Father was Edward Weeks who married a Mary too but he was born in 1879.  His parents didn't marry untill they were in their 50's after having 12 children!  Took me years to locate their marriage Registration to get the certificate!

I've been through the 1939 Register to locate all of the Weeks children......  There were quite a lot of errors with the dates of birth, plus Ernest J Weeks was listed as a Wicks!

This is not the first time I've found errors. My late Dad's aunty, Mrs Violet Shipp had the wrong DOB too.

If anyone thinks they are related to the Weeks family please contact me and we can compare details.
I'm only to pleased to help others.

Good news, I've just remembered, I have a family group photo of the Weeks family -
Parents and 9 on their children, 6 grown up boys, 2 grown up daughters and and a younger boy,  sat outside of their front door..this was also hubby's home for a while when he was growing up too.

If anyone has a photo of any of the Weeks children listed in my message they would like to share with me, please do contact me, let me know thier name and I will see if I can pick any of them out on the photograph and I will share the family group photo with you..
