Manor Road is marked on all those maps -just need to look at the edge or scroll up.

This one actually has 'Manor House' marked

It still seems to be in the location already discussed, as per Nell's map which shows a large house on a large block of land - on the corner of Manor Road and Sheen Road.

The mention of 'new' houses being built there in 1914 I think explains a lot, and fits with the style of what you see on that corner today.

Such a shame Manor House was demolished. :'( It must have been very grand sitting on it's 5 acres.

Thanks for this, I have looked around for more, but it seems we were right in the end.
Because it says Queen Charlotte`s dower house, I googled this but only found   Charlotte`s Cottage which still stands in Kew.

It also says in the book that the ground rents went into trust for Francis`s 4 unmarried daughters, who never had to work again. The last one died in 1972  aged 93 !.

It would be good to find a photo of the Manor House. Richmond FHS can`t help.

It would be wonderful to see it I agree. Sadly, if it was demolished before 1914, there may not be one, or at least not one which is labelled and identified as Manor House.

Lucky Francis's four daughters.  :)
