Thanks Willsy for your help, I spent some time yesterday and today trying to make a connection to the name Somers/Summers/Sommers from my family tree and drew a blank. I started chasing up some married Ellen Sommers as I thought maybe the 'miss' in the record was incorrect, but I think you probably have the correct Ellen.

That being the case I don't believe she was Roberts aunt, but there may be a possibility that she was a great aunt, It will need further research

Yeah that's what I'll be doing now try and track down a birth...not an easy task from this time period in Ireland but I'll give it a go!
