Records Available
« on: Friday 08 July 16 15:24 BST (UK) »
Firstly i can't thank the people enough that have responded to my threads so far, really helpful information and support. My recent visit to Dublin has rekindled my appetite, hence my questions on here.

I have had to go over everything i have to ensure that i don't disappear down the wrong path completely.

So after going back to basics i have presented myself with a new problem. Prior to the Irish records going online i sent a request to the records office in Dublin for a search for a birth of a Lizzie/Elizabeth Daniels birth around 1890 father name, John.
They provided a record for an Elizabeth Daniel born 21st July 1889 NDU Workhouse Dublin.

I have now rechecked this info online and the online civil records list three potential births

Elizabeth Daniels 1887 Dublin South
Elizabeth Daniels 1887 Dublin South
Elizabeth Daniel 1889 Dublin North (which is the record I have)

Obviously the earlier two berths i am unable to ascertain if the fathers name is John or not without ordering a certificate.

Would i be able to view these records if i visited the GRO in Dublin, or would they be available anywhere else to view in Ireland??

There are no church records showing that match

thanks
Paul

You should be able to purchase €4 photocopys of the Certs from any Registry office in Ireland or order them from the GRO in Roscommon.

But first why not try to find likely matches in the 1901 Census.

Hello,
On another thread here http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=751677 , in reply 18 you name siblings of Lizzie.
If there is now doubt about the birth you have, how do you know about the siblings?
Is her father named as John on her marriage/s and if so, is there an occupation?

Regards
Heywood

Thanks for all the replies and help.

so far i have not been able to find her or her siblings in the 1901 census, i have searched numerous times and various ways and based on the siblings  have from the 1911 census this one here doesn't appear to fit.

Thanks Heywood.

yes the fathers name is listed on both marriage certs as John and occupation as labourer. There are numerous mentions of John Daniels in connection with ill treating Lizzie Daniels for Kilmainham Jail and Mountjoy Prison. He is listed as deceased in the marriage of 1909 which fits with death  entry in the records

Death 1906 John Daniel Dublin South age at death 59 Qtr 2 vol 2 page 489

The only doubt i have is that i previously asked for a search to be done which found just the one birth entry for an elizabeth daniels, now i can view the records online it shows three possible matches, but obviously i need to rule them out via the fathers name, hence my question can i view these records on another visit to dublin
