Boldre marriage lookup please

Could some one please tell me the details, if any, of the marriage at Boldre, 6 Oct 1817, between James Dyer and Louisa Cork.

Sorry, can't help with any further details from the parish register.

There is no mention of either DYER or CORK in Comyn's New Forest - a directory of life in the parishes of Boldre and Brockenhurst 1817.

As far as I am aware, images of the original registers are not online.  You would have to visit Hampshire Record Office at Winchester or request a copy from them - unless someone is visiting (sadly I can't help).

What information are you hoping to find?  No parents'/fathers' names are generally recorded at this time.  Witness names may help, but if they are relations, this is not indicated either.

Hi Nell,

Based in Melbourne Australia means a trip to Record Office is off the cards 
My 4x Ggrabdparents are a James Dyer and Louisa?
They are in Seaford Sussex in 1841 and Eastbourne Sussex in 1851.
James c.1797 Isle of Wight, Coast Guard and Louisa c.1797 Lymingthon Hampshire
Their eldest known child is daughter Matilda born Ireland 1825, then Merry c1827 ?, Mary born 1829 Cornwall and Samuel 1831 Newhaven.

The only likely James Dyer and Louisa marriage I can find is the one in Boldre and was hoping it might mention if James was in the CG, or from IOW.

Any suggestions or ideas of where to look next would be wonderful.

You should be able to view the parish records at a LDS Family History Centre, hopefully there is one near you.  There is a small charge to order films they do not hold.

The HGS Baptism Index {1813-1841} has just one baptism for James & Louisa

21 Feb 1821-William James Dyer at Lymington

FindMyPast has baptism transcript for James Dyer bapt 22 Mar 1795 at Kingston by Newport IOW s/o William and Hannah Dyer. A possibility, since James says he was born Newport IOW on 1851 census.
Also a Jane bapt in 1791 to William and Hannah in same place.
Freereg has transcript of marriage of a William Dyer and Hannah Plumbley in Whitwell IOW 27 Dec 1786, record says groom's abode Crisbrooke which isn't far from Newport.
