Trying to deciper document of death of George Cordiner b 1819 and information I have lost off Newfoundland on 24 Jul 1854 off the " Osalis" of Dundee
His name is 9 down on left side

Looking at the image on FindMyPast I would say cause of death is definitely 'UNKNOWN ' .. the rest looks like ...at Ferry port ? ?

Not Ferry port but Ferryport-on-Craig, across the estuary from Dundee.

(I think you will need to remove both the full page image and the transcription for copyright reasons.)

Go to your first post, click Modify, scroll down, and there should be something allowing you to remove the attachments. An extract for deciphering purposes is fine, but not a full page or a copy/paste transcription.

By the way, the source BT 153 is not strictly a register of Deaths at Sea, despite what FindMyPast choose to call it, but it is the Register of Wages and Effects of Deceased Seamen.
