 THanks for the 1841 info for Grace and Family I did not have this.John died 27 Oct 1858 and Buried 30 Oct 1858 in Grantham.

 I was going to say that when John died he was called John WILCOX Rose and ironically apparently Edward Rose b.b 1801 had a daughter named Winifred WILCOX Rose b 1834 Ropsley so it does make me wonder if there is a connection somewhere???.

Many thanks back tothe drawing board.

Kathy

Yes Edward/Eliza did have a Daug Winifred Wilcox Rose 1834. She was buried 1837 Heydour.
But in 1851/1861 Edward the Butcher is born c 1798 West Deeping.

I havent found his Marriage to Eliza though to find her surname.
Only Children I can find for Edward/Eliza are;
Winifred Wilcox 1834
Elizabeth 1837
Robert 1839
Cant find Edward c 1828

HI trish1120,

Many thanks our Edward b c1828 is being very elusive incidentally Heydour is not far from Ropsley where the children were baptised.

 :) :)
Hi keyboard86,

Many thanks for that info it looks very interesting I will have to look into that especially with them getting married in 1825 four years before the elusive Edward 1828.

Not really happy with this marriage as "With consent of parents"  suggests at least one of them was under age at time of marriage?

Hi keyboard86,

Sorry for delay in replying but many thanks for your remarks as regards the marriage due to parents consent being needed. As a matter of interest in the 1820s what was the legal age for marriage without parents consent?.
