Lloyd ????Pool Middle, Welshpool
« on: Monday 25 July 16 14:37 BST (UK) »
Can anyone read this address please from the Welsh 1971 Census.

I believe it says Llloyd something, then
???? Street below it?

I thought it said Lloyd Cottage at first on Broad Street but I'm not so sure. Not the best handwriting. William Bailey was mistranscribed as William Hailey, undestandable. His wife below is Mary Bailey then one of their children, David Alfred William Bailey. My Bailey line baffle me and are good at hiding, strange handwriting doesnt help  ;) I thought I'd go back through what I already have and look again.

Thank you :)

There are a number of "Passages" marked on this 1885 map https://www.old-maps.co.uk/#/Map/322457/307538/13/100925 but I can't see Lloyds Passage.

According to the 1871 census Lloyds Passage is next to Hopkins Passage which is marked on the map.

Thank you, I've flicked back and forth a few pages, Cumberland Place is on and I can see that, theres another passage called Hopkins Passage, which I can see on the map. I love maps! Thank you :)

Maybe its the passage at the end of Cumberland Place that doesn't seem to have a name? The passage above that has a lot of Bs in it.

That is Bebbs Passage, it could be a later name for Lloyds Passage, as in 1871 Lloyds Passage comes between Hopkins Passage and Cumberland Place, and Bebbs Passage is not mentioned. Lloyds Passage does not appear to be in the 1881 census.
