Where is Tedford?

I have an ancestor who was listed in the 1851 census as born in Tedford, Lincs. Google comes up with a number of references to people who were born in Tedford but when I look for the place I can only find Tetford.

Does anyone know if Tedford and Tetford are the same place or if Tedford is somewhere different?

Thank you. These forums are fascinating. I can see me getting lost in here for some time!

Its good to see that it was a real place, not just a misspelling! The references to Tedford I've seen so far have all been historic so I'm wondering if the name changed over time or the place got merged in with somewhere else..

It almost certainly relates to Tetford where the TEDFORD family resided.
