I would be grateful with having help to trace Rachael's descendants.
Rachael was born according to the 1861 census in the parish of Llangunnor. She married Thomas Williams born Abergwili and moved to Aberdare. On the 1871 census the family are recorded as:
Thomas Williams Head b.c.1838 Abergwili; Rachael Williams (wife) b c 1833; Anne Williams dau bc 1861 Llangendeirne; David Williams bc 1864 Merthyr; Sarah Williams bc 1865 Merthyr; Martha Williams bc 1868 Merthyr.Rachael dies between census and on the 1881 census the family are living at 6 Wayne Street Aberdare Thomas William b 1838 Abergwili widow; Thomas H Williams bc 1871 Aberdare; Charles Williams bc 1872 Aberdare; David Williams bc 1876 Aberdare.
1891 census again 6 Wayne Street: Thomas Williams; new wife Mary Williams Cwmmathllwyd Pembs;Charles Williams ; David J Williams bc 1876; Richard Williams bc 1884 Aberdare

Thomas Williams b 1838 Abergwili? Were his parents William Williams and Bridget Morgans?
If so, they too lived at Pantyfer Llanddarog.

I deliver coal to a cottage named Pantyfer in Cwmisfael about a mile from Llanddarog.

I have checked the baptismal registers for Abergwili 1836-1842 for a Thomas Williams baptism. Found 2 -
Thomas, bap. 7 Jan 1838, son of Henry and Margaret Williams, abode Perth y ? (cannot make out last element), occpn. Superintendant of the Slate Quarry(?)
Thomas, bap 7 Oct 1838, son of John and Anne Williams, abode Village, occpn. mason

Have you found the marriage of Thomas and Rachel? This might (no guarantee) provide details of Thomas' father - name and occupation.

Cannot see a Carmarthenshire marriage that "fits" but there are two possible Merthyr Tydfil registrations -
Thomas Williams, Sep Qtr 1859, Merthyr Tydfil, 11a 437 - on same page Rachel Thomas.
Thomas Williams, Mar Qtr 1861, Merthyr Tydfil, 11a 380 - on same page Rachel Thomas.
