Marriage at St John's, Preston 1862
« on: Sunday 14 August 16 21:18 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone,

Im hoping that some might be able to help or advise me as to the cheapest way that I can get hold of a marriage entry for the above Church of St John's in Preston, for the 2nd March 1862, between an Amos Rimmer and an Ann Holmes

Does anyone perhaps happen to know if the local record office for this area has microfilmed the registers for this church. I already have all the information from OPC for Lancashire, so cant really justify buying the certificate, but would really like to see the entry.

Many thanks,
Rowlandson ;D

Hi Claire,

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. !! ;D

Made myself a member, and I've just seen the actual entry.

Sincere apologies to KGarrad for not finding it earlier, you're both obviously better at searching the Family Search site than me !!! ???

Many Thanks Once Again !!!

Oh no you don't!
I have never made myself a member of FamilySearch?
And I found the marriage quite easily ;D

When you load FamilySearch, simply click on "Search"; no need to login.

Where did it say that you had to join, or sign up?

I have always ignored the bit on the homepage that says Sign In or Free Account.
And just click on Search, then Records.
