Shadrach and Mary Livermore
« on: Monday 15 August 16 14:05 BST (UK) »
Shadrach and Mary Livermore baptised several children at St Andrews Enfield, the earliest i have found is Michael 3 Feb 1770 and the latest is James 30 July 1786.

can anyone find Shadrack and Mary's marriage please.

I don't think james is the one I am looking for on my other thread

I think james bapt Enfield 1786 married Ann Godson in Waltham Holy Cross and had children in Bermondsey / Rotherhithe

Can't find a marriage myself but several trees have Mary Clarke as the spouse and the marriage 10 Jul 1769 Much Hadham Hertfordshire.

Something to check out  :)

Thanks, I had found that marriage and it looked a good fit, but didn't want to jump to conclusions. Both were of the parish of Much Hadham and marriage was by by Banns. Witnesses seem to be serial witnesses not family members.
I don't know whether significant but they were married by the rector and those before and after just got the curate. Did it mean something as to their social status.

I'll have a look at the trees to see if they have anything more to convince me.

There are burial records for Shadrach and Mary at St Andrews Enfiled which give a clue to their year of birth. Shadrach looks a good match for one baptised at Felsted. Too many Mary Clarkes to get the correct one. One tree has her baptised at Great Berkhampstead, but that's the other side of Herts, so I'm not convinced.
Migration from Much Hadham to Enfield is looking more likely, old maps show an obvious route - now the B180 and A10.
