Hi Carol

Is William not the son of William and Rebecca Gent baptised 27 June  1771 in Tilney St Lawrence that "amondg" gave in one of your previous posts
see:- http://www.rootschat.com/links/01i7r/

I posted a link to the above baptism on the above link.

There is also a baptism for a Thomas to the same parents 10 Apr 1765, see image 60, William and Rebeccas marriage is on the same page, though that would make him over 40 if he married Eleanor

Does it help that one witness to the marriage of Thomas to Eleanor 1806 was Frances Gent.

Looked further, Frances Gent was a daughter of James and Mary Gent/Ghent
baptized 18 November 1785 at TSC
her sister  Eleanor baptized 1 October 1782 --married Thomas Gent.

Thomas' wife Eleanor was buried 10 March 1809 at TSC.
found 2 children James bap 10 July 1806 and Bathsheba 29 March 1808

James Gent  (father of Eleanor) was buried TSC 8 March 1803 widower.

His wife Mary was buried Tilney St Lawrence 22 November 1787, wife of J, from Terrington St Clements  shortly after the baptism of daughter Mary 14 November 1787 at TSC transcribed as GHINT
