Does any one know Charles Macfarlane use to be a Fletcher.
Watkis, Fletcher, Jamaica, Australia, and England.
Joy and Mullett England.

I've just posted a reply on your Jamaican topic but the same advice applies here- you need to put more detail in your initial posts.

Many U.S. records (births, marriages, deaths, etc.) are by state so more information is needed to start. There are likely lots of men called 'Charles Macfarlane' in the U.S. but you've given absolutely indication of when and where he was born and why he 'used to be a Fletcher.'

Something along the lines of 'Charles Macfarlane born 1850 England, last found in 1871 census living in London and later went to U.S.' would be make it much easier for us to help you.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
