Ann Beaumont ne Preston (b 1817)
« on: Sunday 04 September 16 09:40 BST (UK) »
Ann Preston was born (and Baptised) in 1817, in Guiseley, to John and Hannah.

Ann died in 1895 and, inscribed, on her parents grave is "Also Ann Beaumont, daughter".

Apart from the 1891 census, where she is recorded as Widow and living alone, I have found no trace of her.

Any help, please.

I can't see any marriages for Ann - post 1837 - to a Beaumont.

Do you have her death certificate, which should give her husband's name?

1841 possible - HO 107/1313/7 folio 11 page 15 - Rawdon

Ann Preston - 24 - Female Servant

Thanks BB - 1841 reference looks good. (Open your eyes Michael  ::).

I've not got her Death Cert (my "to get" list is loooong), only her Burial Record (30 April 1895 at St Oswald, Guiseley).

George seems to be  with wife Susannah in 1851 and then a widower in 1861.

Ann is the right age - 54, so born 1817, and birthplace given as Guiseley  :)
