I can see that OH has got one.  He's not here at the moment, so I don't know what it says.

I got one asking me to register for updates and promotion emails for the new company that have taken over FTM. Will have to think about it as I don't use it as much as I used to as the new layout is not to my liking and I'm looking into different software programmes

Yes, I got one although I'd already re-registered a couple of weeks ago.  The link takes you through to what looks like the same page I used then.

Thanks Panada and all. It seems as if you can opt out of certain emails form them. Not sure what you mean by the new lay out. Has there been an update for 2014?

Got this email yesterday.  The new owners of seem to be "Software MacKiev".  They are trying to build up their marketing database for FTM.   |I'm guessing that  US-registered people have been transferred without their explicit opt-in.

But the eMail says "... We've passed the registration information for most current users to Software MacKiev. But due to European privacy laws, we were not able to do so in your case... ".

So we're asked to register again, if we want communications from Software MacKiev.

Yes, I had one and have just re-registered. I think from what it said on the actual re-registration page that Ancestry were able to pass on details from all American owners of FTM, but under EU Privacy rules were unable to pass on European users, so had to ask them to do it themselves.
