Thanks Bex, i am trying to work out how Isaac comes in with our family, who were his parents? and i gather it is Rothley?

I think his father is Thomas but his marriage was at Rothley
Isaac Preston 15 April 1726 Elizabeth Hurst.

According to the Will his wife was Elizabeth and he leaves money to sons Thomas & Stephen also a grandson called Isaac.

I also have Rothley Churchwarden Accounts Book and there are 2 Preston's that were churchwardens
1757 Richard Fowkes (this is my interest in all of this) & Francis Preston
1761 Stephen Preston.

The only Isaac Preston I can find at Rothey is in 1691 7 November  son of Thomas so I think this may be him

So i would imagine it is finding out who Thomas belongs to, who had Isaac, the names that keep coming up on our Preston trail has been Robert,Richard,Daniel,Joseph and William, Girls name regularly used are Ruth,Elizabeth and Emma Jane and Ellen. I have found what i feel is Roberts birth, the father of Benjamin. We have found sometimes the surname has changed to Presson. The birth is robirtus 22-August-1646 in Walton on the Wolds leicestershire, which is close to Rothley. To Robert and Jocosa Presson . The marriage of Robert and Joscosa is in prestwold 13 June 1636 the marriage reveals her surname is Ansty and her father being William and Roberts father is a Husbandman called William from Rothley. I have found two girls born to Robert and Jocosa in prestwold then they have robert in Walton on the Wold.

I'm not sure where I got the Will from but I would think it was LRO as I got most if not all from there and it would have been years ago.
There are many Preston Wills from Rothley all available from LRO if you are interested?

My copy of Prestwold PR  shows Robert & Joscosa marriage and in notes g of Burton on Wolds b of Barrow on Soar.
