Gertrude married Frank Charles Legg 1907 and has Louise  with her as a 13 year old niece, so suspect she was her daughter.

Jennifer

Once again indebted to Jennifer,  Frank C and Gertrude were living at Brittania Road, Southsea,  Portsmouth about a third of a mile away at Manners Road, Southsea was a widowed Amy Thompson 55? b Atherstone, an Amy THOMSON died December qtr 1921 Portsmouth 2b 597 aged 71

Also a Gertrude Legg dies September qtr 1911 Portsmouth 2b 706 aged 31

The birth certs of Gertrude & Rosina D may hold clues?

Thanks again to everyone for all the information.  Slowly this family are revealing their story.

I agree that I now need to look at buying some certificates and will start with Gertrude and Rosina Daisy. I am now fairly convinced though that Amy and Elizabeth Martha are one and the same person though quite how that fits in with Amy's marriage to Mr Thomson I haven't quite figured out yet.

:) Yes please come back with the results of those birth certs!

The illegitimate daughter of Gertrude, Louisa Jacinto Fox born 6th March 1898 Knaresborough married a James Cutting 1923 Portsmouth,  one son possibly still alive born 1926 Portsmouth, she died as Louisa Jacinta Cutting born 6th March 1898 March qtr 1978 Portsmouth

Jacinta/o via Google suggests Spanish/Portuguese for Hyacinth?!
