Hi Sue

Your post will be more visible to all if you change the title to "Bull/Needle and French families from Culworth"
They do not need to read the contents . . . . .

Hi all,
I have just recently found out why my x 3 grt paternal grandfather changed his surname in later life. He was a Charles Frost from Brailsford, derbyshire 1800, it's his wife and her family connection to him. About twenty years ago I visited the northampton record office with a friend. At the time I had no idea what I was looking for as My family name is Ault and not frost. Charles Frost took on his uncles surname after he was left a large amount of money in those days in a will. His uncle was a Charles Ault and I am sure in the back of my mind I found a connection to a charles ault or frost being given some land by a member of the Bull family. My x 3 grt grandmother was a margret Bull 1800 culworth Northampton. I am wondering how 1, she met charles frost as he was living in leighton buzzard. 2. did he know her family 3, Did they even know she married in bedfordshire.

Any thoughts on this issue please
