John Warnock weaver married Catherine Ferguson June 1817 in Barony.

Emigrated to Canada 1821....Anyone with information to share???
Burton - Workington ; St Bees England
Warnock - Rutherglen Scotland
McCulloch - Grahamston/Glasgow Scotland
McDougall - Lochgoilhead, Scotland
Garrett - England; Isle of Mann; Jersey ??

Mommabear,  looking through the Old Glasgow Weavers records, I'm afraid I don't see any Warnock's, the Calton weavers came under the control of Glasgow & the Glasgow Weavers Incorporation about 1725. Try Googling the Calton Weavers.

Thank you Skoosh. I assumed that because Calton is listed as place of residence on their marriage certificate he  might be part of this association...search is still on.

Mommabear, marriages in Scotland at that time tended to be held at the minister's manse or the home of the bride.
