Thanks Carol, just had a look at their website. I've emailed them but don't hold out much hope - it looks like the CDs are designed only to run on Microsoft computers whereas I'm a Mac user and don't have a Wintel computer in the house.

Is that just a search of their CD's or the original records ?

Nottinghamshire archives say (for Carburton):

Christenings, 1568-1964 on microfiche at the Archives, and Local Studies at Central Library
Also at Arnold, Mansfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield.

The relevant page on the Notts FHS website says:

Baptisms by Email, £2
A search of the Nottinghamshire Family History Society baptism databases covering mainly the 17th., 18th and 19th centuries. Please check the 'Parish Register list' for the full dates and parishes available.

Hi Ray

There are a lot of people on this site who have the baptism, marriage and burial CD's provided by the Notts FHS,  so if you want anything else just ask.

Ray,

If you PM, then only 1 person gets to see what you want?
If you post on the thread then ALL RootsChatters potentially see!

The more people that read your thread, the better the chance of getting a result ;D

I fully appreciate that but if the easiest answer to the question could be "Here's a copy of what's on the disk" - it wasn't but it could have been - such matters have been frowned upon in the past [Speaking as someone who once dared to post the merest snippet from the 1939!]

I'm simply trying to hang some detail on the bones of what I already have and save a 100 mile round trip to Nottingham.
