Records for Armstrong Vickers (approx 1911) : Northumberland

Hi,

I've found that my Great Grandfather worked for Armstrong Vickers as an Engine Fitter, however that's all I know about him. Is there Any way to find out more details from Armstong Vickers records ? His name was Richard Major Robson and he lived in Benwell in 1911.

I'd love to find out anything I can, what he did, where he worked, he died when my mother was very young so she never knew much about him.

Yes he was married to a Georgina Ord.

the national archives have company records for vickers armstrong from 1847 to 1979 .

Hi again,  in 1901 as Richard M Robson b c 1872 Jesmond, Newcastle with Georgina and family occ Fitter & Turner Iron, on same page various men similar occupations shown as working at "Works/Worker"
