Charles Knight

Wander if somebody could find any information on Charles Bishop.  All I know is he married Alice Bostock in 1898, Winchcombe,  by 1901 Alice was a widow with a year old daughter called Gladys.

I have looked on FreBMD and Gloucestershire BMD with no luck.  Wandered if he was in one of the forces but not knowing where he was born, difficult to find him on a earlier census.  There are quite a few Charles Bishops.

Any help would be appreciated.

Charles Knight - as per heading, or Charles Bishop - as per text?

Either way you are going to need the marriage cert to find out something more about him, as he dies by the census.  Otherwise there is nothing to pinpoint the right one on earlier records with only a name.

Sorry, its Knight.  Know a marriage cert would be the answer, its not my tree I am researching and my relative is very reluctant to pay for certificates.  Looks like I will have to forget about him for a while.

The 1881 gives his parents Moses 38 and Kerzia 37 at Alderton +John 13,James 7,Charles 5,Ellen 2 and Ann 11 mths

So in theory he died between 1898-1901.  No particular deaths stand out **

**Charles is noted as deceased on the baptism of Gladys 30 Sep 1900.  Gladys born 24 August.

Alice remarries in 1905.
