Alton on Crosbie, Ayrshire

Two of my ancestors are buried in Alton on Crosbie, Ayrshire - Peter Tait (1822) and his wife Margaret Millar Tait (also 1822).  A Google search tells me about the Crosbie estate.  Can anyone tell me more.
