Do you have any info on when margaretta moved to southport from bolton.

Unfortunately, not.  All I know is that she married Herbert Gell in 1916.  Father is Robert Culley, Commercial Traveller (which is correct) and sister Gertrude was a witness.  Once the 1939 Register became available, I just checked that out.

She would be my 1st cousin twice removed according to Ancestry.

There are a few more baptisms on lancs opc. They lived at either 29 31merehall street bolton.
Brothers and sister marriages on there as well.There is a record that shows details of Margarettas brother Robert Culleys war record  just google his name then 29 merehall street about fourth result down.

Thanks for your interest.  I already have the info from LancsOpc but am just unable to find Gladys May Culley after 1911.  I was very interested to see a Gladys M with Margaretta on the 1939 Registry but it looks as though that's not her sister

There is this birth on lancashirebmd which shows the 1897 Glady May Rimmer birth (the only one on freebmd) with mmn of Carson

Hi Lancsann,

Many a Rimmer in the Southport area but I don't think she is mine.  My Carson's are in St Helens at this timescale and she doesn't fit with them.  My Gladys' MMN is Culley HILTON.

so the Gladys May Rimmer born in 1897 is not yours. She is the only one born in 1896-1898

Having looked at this some more I am coming to the conclusion that this is the Gladys Marjorie Blink that Maureen found. The exact same birthdate is surely not just a coincidence.

Gladys Blink's husband George Henry Blink died on 4 July 1939 and is buried at the Southern Cemetery, Chorlton-Cum-Hardy.
