Death and buriel, Secunderabad, India, 1872.

Hi,
I'm researching for someone and I have a question I hope you maybe able to help me with. Elizabeth Sullivan died on the 10th of May, 1872 in Secunderabad. She was buried the next day. Her husband, James was in the 16th lancers stationed in India at the time.

Does anyone know if death certificates were issued in India at that time or where she may have been buried in Secunderabad?

Where there any epedemics at the time, cholera or typhoid.

Thanks for any help or info you can give.

Plenty of cholera in India I'm afraid. I lost two ancestors to it in 1869 Peshawar and Jullunder 1876.
