Gortonboy - I assumes it was his widow Emma remarrying!  But I may be wrong, didn't look closely at the names or ages or dates.

Sadly, the BARNASCONI aspect seems to be eluding everyone.

However, to answer a few questions:

Emma COLUMBINE died between 1891 and 1901 as John is classified a Widower in 1901 and she was alive in 1891.   He may have had a daughter Emma born possibly 1885 but have not researched that aspect yet.   Mary, the mother, was a Widow in 1851 so the death in 1849 could be accurate.......but, again, why COLONBINE and not BARNASCONI......COLONBINE and COLUMBINE could be easily transposed.

Incidentally, before I forget, thank you for the 1861 Census.   John CB and Sarah CB make sense but not an explanation to the "B"
