Dacre - The Bennetts from Dacre Banks
« on: Friday 09 December 16 22:26 GMT (UK) »
Hi there I am related to the Bennetts (and the Hebdens). I most of the information I need for my family tree, I am currently stuck finding the last few pieces and it would terrific if anybody could help me.

Two questions relate to Mary Jane Bennett (b. 1844  -  d. 1923) who married Thomas Grange (b. 1850  -  d. 1899). More information here: http://www.pyenet.co.nz/familytrees/ft_pye-kelly/gp1505.html#head2.
1) On what date did Mary Jane and Thomas Grange get married?

2) I think I stumbled on two Frances Grange born - is it possible that there were 2 two Frances'? One born in 1870 that maybe died in infancy and a sister later also named Frances in honor of her born later in 1877? Or have I confused myself?

One last question relates to Anne Bennett (b. 1846  -  d. 1913) who in 1879 married Matthew Hind (b. 1832  -  d. 1901).
3) When did their daughter Edith Jane Hind (b. 1888) die?

With kindest regards and Merry Christmas to you all,

Ashley :)

No info available online so you would have to buy a copy of the marriage cert if you want the exact date.  It is on freebmd in 1873

You can now check for mothers maiden name on the GRO site.  Have you found a death for the first Frances?  However - as the marriage was only 1873 - how likely is it that the 1870 Frances was their daughter?

Have you looked on the 1871 for the other Frances?

If there is no death on freebmd under Hind - it's likely she married so have you checked freebmd for a marriage for her and then checked for a death under her married name?

Hi Carole  :) Yeah I think with Mary and Thomas Grange being married in 1873 I think it was the one Frances they had. Just in the logic that Mary was from a very high standing family and I can't imagine Mary having a child out of wedlock. I think it is likely that a person made a mistake with the date as all other entries of Frances listed on the internet have been 1877.

There looks to be a possible marriage in 1863, Warrington?
Mary Bennett and Thomas Grange on the same page.

Incidentally, I still can't see the marriage in 1873?
