Need some help locating information on Grace Gibb married to William Beveridge 1808-1849.their son William married Magdaline Hodge on 16th May 1873 in Kelty Fife. Thanks in advance

Hi
Grace Beveridge, ms Gibb, died in Fordell, Aberdour, Fife on 15 December 1857 aged 43. She was the daughter of Edward Gibb and Elizabeth Beveridge who had their irregular marriage recognised by Dalgetty Kirk session on 13/01/1793.

so we have two Grace Beveridges? Obviously the one I found can't be the one Jim.h is looking for because of your find of the death with the maiden name Gibbs.

Crisane, married women in Scotland are registered on death under both marital & maiden surnames i.e. likely to be same person.

I've only found this post as it's been resurrected i.e. I haven't checked if it is indeed her.
