Birth of John Patrick (James) Doran.

  Thank you, I know I need to find that marriage to be sure. There is a Patrick Doran baptized in April 1844 (2 years earlier) in the Clonroche area film record you put me onto. The names of James and Mary fit. I will go through the whole record from 1813 and search for all the Dorans anyway.  Thanks I have made some possible proress.

just the priests way of abbreviating Margaret

  Thank you for refining my research. I did not notice the abbreviation of Margaret. I have come across shortened abbreviations before but I really thought this was Mary or even May.

Margaret is not a repeated name from our tree, so I am a little more hesitant that this is the correct family. Thank you again.
