Louisiana obituaries
« on: Saturday 17 December 16 19:19 GMT (UK) »
Does anyone have access to the New Orleans Times Picayune?  I am interested in the obituary of Dr. Joseph Clyde Bruner, published on 1 September 1952.  Also the obituary of his daughter, Dr. Constance Bruner Billet, who died 13 July 1984 in San Diego.  She had followed her father by practicing medicine in Rayne, Louisiana so there might be an obit for her in the Times Picayune.

I don't have access to newspapers, but apparently her name was in at least three publications:
July 17, 1984 "CR 1984, page 62"
July 19, 1984 "RIN 1980-1989, page 316
July 19, 1984 "RAT 1984, page 54"

Thanks, RJ.  A bit disappointing.  I was hoping that as a graduate of Tulane Medical School and as a beloved small town physician he would get a more detailed obituary.  So it goes.  Interesting that they refer to the daughter as formerly Dr. Constance Bruner, now Mrs. Robert M. Billet.  She could only have just barely graduated from medical school at that point and she married Billet in 1950, presumably before she graduated.
