   Photo of Gayry Elizabeth Gibboney Major (1888-1935) of Virginia/Maryland. She was also known as Elizabeth Major Swartz. Child of John Edward Major and Evie Haller Gibboney. She was married to Newell T K Swartz (1881-1946) and had 11-13 kids with him. They had deep roots in Virginia. Mother of Margaret Jane Swartz (1914-1997). In the 1920 US Census, Gayry is mentioned as Elizabeth G Swartz. Her preferred first name appears to have been Elizabeth. The Swartz children grew up near the Natural Bridge, Virginia.

Photo of Newell Taylor Kirkpatrick Swartz (1881-1946), one of three sons of Joseph Godfrey Swartz (1847-1887) and Margaret Jean Ochiltree (1847-1928). Newell was married to Gayry Elizabeth Gibboney Major (1888-1935) and had 11-13 Swartz children. They lived in Virginia and Maryland. They raised their children near the Natural Bridge, Virginia.
