Do you have his daughters 1921 birth certificate, if so what was his occupation.
Was he still in the  Army as his records could still be with the MOD  :-\

No I haven't got the birth certificate, looks like I should order that as my next course of action.

This man certainly seems to be difficult to trace by way of records.

At the time of marriage his address was 79 Central Drive Blackpool which was a boarding house. This suggests he was not there long, perhaps just long enough for his wedding as the church was also on Central Drive.

In 1901 the address was a boarding house,it isn't by 1911 it's a family home,so what makes you think it is in 1915?

sorry I should have said that in 1901 the address was a boarding house. Not that it was in 1915 when they married.

The Kings Regt Devereux Data Base has 6 Powers none of those Christian Names,
However there is a Lawrence Power Pte 268951  and also Eight names John Power - on the database.

268951 is on the cwgc site. Died 30/07/1917.  Buried in Ypres so you can probably rule him out.

The Museum of Liverpool Life at the Pier Head Waterfront is closed for Building Maintenance till late February 2017
Entering the name on the touch screen database at the foot of the Regt Medal Tower Column will show loads more on each recruit under each name.

Pity that Laurence John was not listed but I really appreciate your taking the time to look for me.
