Update.

All is now sorted re Martin Duffy. CWGC are going ahead and have accepted the memorial inscription so in a few months a proper headstone will be in place.

I must say seaweed CWGC has been very efficient in this case. I was really impressed. I followed up from the posts here - explained the connection and was sent the form.
Another researcher, a cousin, found out about Martin some years ago but the CWGC had the wrong date -1916 instead of 1918. I queried this on Rootschat, and a kind person arranged for it to be changed.
I must confess that after a brief search re the circumstances, we did nothing else.
However, since this latest development, I have searched more and am now very interested in his story.
