Find My Past Subscription

Argh, this is confusing! I guess I'll have to deal with it the next time I sign up. Basically, what it seems to mean for me, is that the cost of a monthly subscription has just gone up.

Gah! I feel like I'm suddenly dealing with a cable TV provider.

just logged out of FindMyPast to see the comparisons and it looks like I'll have to stay as I am as I want newspapers, India Office and the 1939 but don't need the rest of the world US/Australia options

Let us hope that auto renew will let us stay as we are at the moment

I've only just spotted this conversation/topic, and won't have time to check all the responses, but I just wanted to point out that it is possible to take out a separate subscription to the British Newspaper Archives - not sure how the subscription rates compare though sorry

To further complicate things, I just received an email from FindMyPast saying, "We have introduced three new packages, Starter, Plus and Pro for our UK customers. Plus and Pro include unlimited monthly access to the 1939 Register."

And... it looks like newspaper access is available only with the "Pro" subscriptions now via FindMyPast.co.uk.

Please ignore my previous comments about this issue -- they have been rendered obsolete!

Yes they're the options I was given when I tried to view a newspaper record.

It looks like you need to Pro package if you want access to the Newspapers now.

   Am I just being dim? I still cannot find anything other than Pro.
