Have sent you a PM with a little info.  Hope it helps.

Not much more than you already know though.

You might have to join Ancestry or Findmypast to glean further information.  And they don't give much.

Have you tried applying to the church to see if they still have any records?   Just a thought.

Have you found them on 1851 & later as this will give their ages & place of birth to work from?

Any children's births would give at least his occupation.

From Findmypast
No specific date given, only 1841. Grooms father Christopher Wells, brides father George Temperley. No age recorded.

Have you tried applying to the church to see if they still have any records?   Just a thought.

It's very unlikely they will still hold registers from that date. Most have now been deposited at the archives.

They parish registers are available on microfilm at Tyne & Wear Archives file:///C:/Users/Owner/Downloads/7076-parish-registers-on-microfilm%20(10).pdf
I'm pretty certain they are also available at Northumberland Archives, but can't get onto the relevant Genuki Northumbria page at the moment to check.

Your best bet for full details will be to hope for a look-up, otherwise to buy the certificate.

As to the date of the marriage, you can narrow this down by using freeBMD which shows that it was in the 3rd quarter of 1841 (i.e. July/August/September)  :)

That's interesting Jen - we still have all ours from 1861 (when church was built) at our church  -  different country though!!   ;)  I'd better be careful what advice I give!  ;)

Most Anglican churches in this country have deposited their old parish registers etc at the relevant record office for safe keeping and conservation.

In the case of St Nicholas Newcastle (now Newcastle Cathedral) they are at Northumberland Archives
http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/c/F129133 although as I said before, they are also available on microfilm at Tyne & Wear Archives.

Hi JenB, that link seems to point to a file on your computer so others wont be able to see it.

That is the link to the user guide on the Archives site.
