London Road Cemetery, Leigh-on-Sea
« on: Tuesday 17 January 17 14:01 GMT (UK) »
I'd be grateful to know if the London Road Cemetery at Leigh-on-Sea is still in active operation and whether there is a plot map available anywhere.

I came across one photograph on Geograph suggesting that the cemetery was closed to new interments. Is that right? Also where is the GWGC commemoration?

Many thanks

Alan

A link to the Leigh-on-Sea page on the CWGC site:

http://www.cwgc.org/find-a-cemetery/cemetery/38460/LEIGH-ON-SEA%20CEMETERY

Individual graves according to the records.

Is this the commemoration?

Hi Jan

That's the right cemetery and the right commemoration. Unlike most CWGC cemetery references there's no Grave map to show where "K 63" or "AA 2" might be located.

Our departed is on the CWGC list but doesn't have a CWGC headstone

Kind regards

Alan

Alan
What is the name of your relative or grave reference as both "K 63" or "AA 2" are CWGC gravestones, and you say it isn't a CWGC stone, I have pictures of all war burials gravestones at this site both CWGC and family graves barring one.
