There is a probate entry for an Ernest Wood (born c1887) in 1964, Worthing which is no help as if it is him he was already widowed (Address 3 Canterbury Court, Canterbury Road, Worthing)
Probably a wild goose chase

Looks as if I must buy a Death Certificate, Beatrice was born 12 Nov 1886; the birth date is not shown on the certs. in 1963.

Free search of 1939 register has a Beatrice Wood (Huntingford)  born 1886 in the Bromley area.

She was single at the time the register was taken

Looks as if I must buy a Death Certificate, Beatrice was born 12 Nov 1886;
the birth date is not shown on the certs. in 1963.

The 1939 register does give dob’s– have you tried the free search using her actual dob to see
if it’s a match to the Beatrice Wood (Huntingford) 1886 as posted by Rosie

Worthing has a burial web page but I cannot see Beatrice on it. There is an entry that matches the Ernest I found.
