Offspring of William Rudge & Emily Rudge, nee Griffiths

William John Rudge (b. 1875/6 B'ham) married to Emily Griffiths (b about 1874 Homerton, London) on 25th December 1894 in B'ham.
The 1901 census shows William & Emily living in Montague Street in B'ham with their children :-
Elsie May Rudge b. 1896 B'hm
George Henry Rudge b. 1898 B'ham
William b. 1900 B'ham

The 1911 census places William Rudge & his children living at 6/4 Fazeley Street, B'ham with William shown to be a widower.
I have been unable to locate a suitable death/burial for Emily Rudge, nee Griffiths between 1901 – 1911. If anyone can help with this I would be most grateful.

In 1913 William John Rudge remarried to Eliza Louisa Camm, a widow, with both giving their address as 6/4 Fazeley Street.

If Elsie, George or William (the children from William & Emily's marriage) appear in your family tree I would very much welcome contact please as I would like to learn what became of them during their lives.

You will have to bear with me on this one!

There was another Rudge/Griffith birth in 1905. I checked the other births and there is no 'S' on Griffith on any of them, although Emily married under Griffiths.

I couldn't find a death for him so I checked the 1911 Census. If you look for David Wintle age 46 in Birmingham you will find James with him aged 5 as a Nephew.

David was a Widower who married a Widow named Harriett Newman in 1906 Birmingham.
She had children from her first marriage, including a George  and a Lily. William Rudge has children with these names with him in 1911 and the ages fit.

I haven't gone into just how the Wintle/Newman/Rudge's are related.

So it would appear that David & Harriett took James on, and William took on two of Harriett's children.

Haven't found a death for Emily yet but we know she was around in 1905!

I would be grateful if someone would check my findings please!
